Heath Rise continues along Heath Road and changes form into small blocks of terraced 3 bedroomed inverted town houses.

The second photo shows the remaining most original of the houses, with a wooden topped balustrade and recessed front door and lower bedroom, incorporating a wooden structure that held bin storage and was accessible from the outside.

Most houses have now converted balconies to metal and then to glass and many have moved the front entrance and bedroom on the ground floor forward to fill in the building line.

A garage and a bedroom and toilet sit on the ground floor, with a wooden open tread staircase, with a single metal 'spine', rising to first floor level.

At first floor level at the rear there are two bedrooms with floor to ceiling patio doors opening onto a small enclosed private garden. A bathroom and an open plan lounge/diner and kitchen to the front, with more floor to ceiling glass doors opening onto a balcony, completes the accommodation.

Timber ceiling cladding is a feature, as was a dividing wall of timber shelving from the lounge to the stairwell, mostly backed by glass nowadays to prevent items falling into the stairs.

Sea views are prioritised in the design but the house is large enough to function as a family home.
