I remembered it was 111 steps. We used to live at the bottom and kept our car at the top!

I remember skipping up them when I was at school, carrying piles of massive books and barely getting out of breath. I now have designated stopping points in order to prevent a heart attack.

Come down from Furzeham School every day, 1st kiss from 1st girlfriend half way down 55 years ago!  I‘ll never forget! 

Our daughter, Christy, broke her leg here, falling down these, rushing for the school bus, nearly 40 years ago.

Yes, Bloody steps! Looks like they’ve been redone since then. It was the first comic relief day and all the nurses had red noses on, I didn’t find it at all funny and I missed the under 18 disco that night.
